Double Gameweek

Our game against the Gold Coast Suns in Opening Round has been postponed until Round 24.

Essendon play Carlton that week, and there is speculation whether we could play Gold Coast before Carlton in Round 24, and end the round with Carlton v Essendon the following week (usually finals bye), especially if either/both of Essendon or Carlton need a win for finals. Another option would be the opposite, but I feel an Essendon/Carlton game to end the year is much better then a Suns/Dons. The rescheduling is far from preferred from our/Gold Coast’s view, playing two games in the last round and losing the finals bye if we make finals. Regardless, I guess it’ll be somewhat fun seeing two games in a short span and something to watch on the finals bye week.

The safety of all those impacted by Cyclone Alfred are in our thoughts.

Essendon begin their year on Friday, 14th March against Hawthorn - 7:40pm at the MCG (A).
